Double Dog Boerboels is a small, family-owned Boerboel Breeder in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. We operate our small farm and kennel on almost 20 acres with all of our cherished animals. What started out as an initiative to locate the perfect farm dog has turned into a passion for sharing the love that we have developed for this breed. In addition to being a responsible dog owner for a lifetime, I have experience working with dogs in various aspects including boarding kennels, breeding kennels, and K9 Search & Rescue. Our main priority is ensuring the temperament, health, and well-being of all our animals - especially our treasured Boerboels.

For those not familiar with Boerboels, they are also known as South African Mastiffs. In the African language, the name Boerboel translates to "Farmer's Dog." They are very intelligent and loyal dogs who love their families. Those who have owned these dogs know just how loyal and loving they are! Our breeding dogs have some of the best bloodlines of the Breed including Spitsvuur, Linga Longa, Skyview, and Coomore.

We believe in the quality of dogs, not quantity, which truly allows us to be a responsible and dedicated Dog Breeders. We assure you that Double Dog Boerboel puppies will be loved, and diligently cared for from birth until the time they leave with their forever family - and beyond.

While we believe our Boerboels are the best of the best & we breed for an "outstanding temperament", ideal for all family enviornments, their outstanding and stunning appearance & trainability are just added blessings!!

The world is changing and Boerboels are a great asset to have for many reasons. We see how the economy is changing, and unfortunately not for the good. We have decided to keep our prices reasonable as it is our hope that this will ensure our puppies go to homes with love.

We understand that the prices (even though reduced) are not cheap & easy for most families. The reason the price for these dogs are still higher than other breeds is due to the expenses that we endure. When we take our dogs to the veterinarian, we are charged more for everything due to the size of our dogs. More puppies per litter costs more in everything, including time. Other expenses include the cost of more food, AI for pregnancy, DNA testing, etc.

Our overall goal is to get the Boerboel breed into homes that are beneficial and appropriate for both our puppies and the homes looking for this unique type of dog.

We have also started to extend military and first responder discounts as a way to "thank you" for your time, efforts & dedicated service. Please be sure to mention this to us when you reach out for additional details!

We see all of our puppies as our own and only want the best for them, so we are dedicated to place them appropriately. It is our hope that each new puppy home keeps in touch with us and knows that we are always available to help with questions and establish long term friendships.
